ABOUT THE BAND
Ragtime Rebellion is an old time ragtime vaudeville outlaw-style band that combines vintage ragtime sounds/instrumentation with contemporary threads of swing, bluegrass, punk, barbershop, americana, reggae, jazz, gospel, blues and the kitchen sink.
We play both our own original material, traditional songs and contemporary re-imagining of newer material.

Slim Pickens - On vocals, mandolin, and trombone.
He can pick, strum, and blow. He's pretty decent on instruments as well. 
Calamity Jane - On vocals, flute and penny whistle. Housewife by day, burlesque dancer by night. Did time for stabbing a lover who could not satisfy her. Beware!
Horny D - On vocals, tenor/baritone saxophone, flute, piccolo and your mama. He's like Steve Urkel on acid.
Slick jimmy - On drums and percussion. Hailing from the west coast where he spent years as a rail riding grifter. Now forced to live in maine as part of his terms of probation he hopes to turn over a new leaf. unlikely given the band he nows plays with.

Ragtime Johnny - On vocals, guitar, banjo, harmonica and kazoo. A man rumored to have fathered children with a dozen women in six different countries. Estranged cousin to legendary outlaw country songwriter Johnny Crashed.
Dirty Dawz - On vocals, piano and accordian. Thrown out of his gypsy family for crimes against a dance floor.
"IT'S A RACKET" BRACKETT - On vocals, organ, harmonica. If left up to him all we'd play would be dead tunes
Wavy Davey - On electric violin, coronet, dobro. HIS ancestors came down from the trees thousands of years ago, having lost their tails due to the originality of their sinning. Davy carries on their blast-phemous traditions by challenging the angel Gabriel with his cornet and by taunting the devil with his demonic instrument of electron, toxic wood, carbon fiber, horsetail, and feline intestine, processed, at times, beyond recognition as an electric fiddle.
